"Get-A-Quote" Systems
Many products and services can't be sold off the shelf. They require customization and sometimes negotiation before the transaction can be completed. In fact, sometimes you need to qualify your prospects before you choose to do business with them.
Lynch Interactive has built a number of custom quote systems that get results! We can work with you to develop your own custom solution or implement one that we've already done. Here's a couple of examples:
Minimum Advertised PriceYou sell a product that falls under M.A.P. and if the manufacturer sees a low price posted on the website you risk loosing distribution. The answer is to have customers "request a quote". This can be implemented automatically where the email that comes back to them automatically has the price you set in it and a button for them to buy or it can be a manual operation where you respond to them personally. The choices are up to your style and the rules that your manufactureres have put in place.
Customized ProductsSome products can't be priced until you know the modifications that will be required. Maybe it's the size or a custom electronics system. The e-Merchandizer handles this by combining our "specs" section with a Get a Quote system. You, as the merchant, specify which specs can be modified, and then when the customer adds that product to their "quote cart" they are given the opportunity to change the values for the specification. You then enter a quote figure and write a personal note and an automated email is send back to them.
Negotiated BusinessIn some business situations it still comes down to two people deciding to do business together and the merchant wanting to know who they are dealing with. These cases are simply handled by checking a box on a product that changes pricing from a number to a "get a quote" button. This quote then goes into a standard looking cart that captures the prospects information and sends it on to you to follow up on.
The "Get-A-Quote" systems we design are almost always customized to meet the needs of the industry. Get a Quote on a system that fits you!
